#30BestofBWA Fairchild Air Force Base Education Center and Library

#30BestofBWA In 1999, we worked with Fairchild Air Force Base to design their new Education Center and Library. The goal of this project was to consolidate the joint uses of classroom learning with library research. The facility meets the needs of adult students and children, providing classrooms designed to be flexible and useful for a variety of educational programs. This project received a US Air Force Design Merit Award in 2002 for achievement in design excellence. In 2021, the library continues to be a hub of activity at FAFB, with over 45,000 books, free access to over 100 online magazines and newspapers, free Wi-Fi, a computer lab, children’s storytimes, and free access to research databases.
