Medical Examiner Facility 1 Year Anniversary

This Fall marks a year of operations at the Spokane County Medical Examiner facility. The number of cases the office oversees has surged in recent years, and those are expected to increase further. In addition to serving Spokane County, the office also handles referral cases for 13 other counties in Washington and North Idaho. Their new facility is well-equipped for the increase in cases and was carefully planned to handle the projected population and caseload growth in the coming years. Dr. Singh, Chief Medical Examiner for Spokane County, states that the state-of-the-art facility will help recruit new pathologists, investigators, and technicians. “All kudos to the County for supporting the pathologists…it shows a lot of foresight on the County’s side, to recognize the importance of having a good death investigation in your community.”
