#WorksiteWednesday at Eastern Washington University. The Albers Court Improvements are nearing completion, enlarging and improving the Athletic Treatment, Sports & Recreation, and Physical Education departments. The Athletic Training and Sports and Recreation department spaces were too small to meet current and anticipated future needs. The Physical Education Department classrooms were too remote for the other departments to use, and EWU hopes to foster collaboration between disciplines. Part of the new design was taking an existing landscaped courtyard and turning it into an outdoor treatment area where student-athletes can perform their treatment activities in a larger venue. With accurate estimating by Bernardo Wills Architects, EWU was able to add some services to the project, including a new roof on the plaza above, and some new equipment for the Athletic Treatment department.
