Welcome to Hooptown, USA!
This weekend, the streets of downtown Spokane will transform into a vibrant arena for the annual Spokane Hoopfest 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament. This beloved event, which has earned Spokane the affectionate moniker “Hooptown, USA,” brings together thousands of players, volunteers, and spectators for a weekend of fun, competition, and community spirit.
Since its inception in 1990, Spokane Hoopfest has grown from a modest gathering to a massive celebration of basketball and community. What started with a few hundred teams has now become an event attracting over 6,000 teams, 3,000 volunteers, and 225,000 fans annually. This growth is a testament to the unyielding passion Spokane has for basketball and the collaborative efforts of countless individuals dedicated to making Hoopfest a success year after year.
At the heart of this event are the volunteers who give their time and energy to ensure everything runs smoothly. One such dedicated volunteer is Chuck Horgan, one of our Principal Architects at Bernardo Wills. Chuck has volunteered with Spokane Hoopfest for over 25 years! His commitment not only underscores the community spirit that defines Hoopfest but also highlights the culture of service that we value deeply at Bernardo Wills.
