#ThrowbackThursday The Grant County Advanced Education Center and Library at Big Bend Community College

#ThrowbackThursday The Grant County Advanced Education Center and Library at Big Bend Community College was the largest construction project in the history of BBCC at the time. The 28,637 square foot library portion of the facility features study rooms and administrative areas, with an emphasis on student amenity offerings. The building also houses the Paula Lauzier University Center and a training and conference center with video conferencing capabilities (which were top of the line in 2002). We also ensured the installation of a high-speed fiber network that would provide super-fast internet connectivity to support the new technologies. When designing and updating a library facility, the research and implementation of upcoming technological advancements will better equip the users for the future. While architects may not be able to predict the future (yet), we can always anticipate there will be changes and advancements to come.
