#30BestOfBWA Jesuit Community at Gonzaga University
#30BestOfBWA When the existing on-campus facility for the Jesuit Community at Gonzaga University was reaching the end of useful services, the University opted to build a new facility, rather than remodel. While it may not be your typical “multi-family housing” project, the Jesuit House required the design of a harmonious shared environment. Completed in late-2017, the 35,000 square-foot wood-framed structure includes administrative spaces, living, and dining common spaces for the use of all residents, a commercial kitchen, 20 full-time and two guest residential units, an exercise room, landscaped courtyard, and a 100-person capacity chapel. Bernardo Wills Architects provided architecture and interior design services as the Associate Architect for liturgical design experts, BAR Architects of San Francisco, on this beautiful project.
