#WorksiteWednesday We are thankful for clear, blue skies at the Ridgeline High School site in Liberty Lake. It is a very active site, with crews working on all fields – baseball, football, and prepping the tennis courts for paving. This will be a premier sports complex for high schools in the Inland Northwest.
Introducing “Union Stadium” – the new sports arena serving Mead and Mt. Spokane high schools. This new stadium will serve as the location for football games and soccer matches, as well as a performance and practice field for the robust marching-band programs. Bernardo Wills Architects has provided landscape architecture services to ALSC Architects on this project.
#ThrowbackThursday Due to Spokane’s weather and poorly-draining natural turf field’s condition, Spokane Falls Community College’s infield was only for use about half the year and was not conducive for soccer play. Bernardo Wills Architects was tasked with replacing the natural grass field with a multi-use synthetic turf system. The project also included the installation of an irrigation system to cool and wash the synthetic field, and minor patch and repair work of the synthetic surfacing of the running track and field events. With these improvements, teams can utilize the field for practice and competition throughout the year in safe conditions, and more athletes will benefit from the play surface.
#WorksiteWednesday The Mead School District Stadium & Performing Arts Complex is nearing completion. Here are some progress shots of the stadium and turf field. This new stadium will serve as the location for the Mt. Spokane and Mead High School home football games and soccer matches, as well as a performance and practice field for the robust marching-band programs.
