#30BestofBWA Many of our operations & maintenance facility projects require a mix of traditional shop and maintenance facilities, as well as administrative office space. In the Whitworth Water District Office and Maintenance Facility, the owner and designers considered how the floor plan and materials chosen would help to marry the two departments. They needed a space where each driver could come in to get assignments, meet as a large group, while (hopefully) not tracking in dirt and debris from their job sites. In addition, access to a shared break and kitchen space allowed for all staff to share meals together. Choosing materials that conform well to shop and office space applications is extremely important, and we know we’ve done our jobs correctly if it all goes unnoticed.
