#WorksiteWednesday Big Changes at East Valley School District

#WorksiteWednesday AM Landshaper crews are busy moving dirt at the East Valley High School site. A joint project between Spokane County, the City of Spokane Valley, and the East Valley School District will revamp the area between East Valley middle and high schools, including new playfields and utility lines. A traffic signal will be added at Sullivan and Wellesley, as well as new softball and baseball fields, and a practice football facility for East Valley’s secondary schools. Bernardo Wills provided full landscape architecture and sports complex planning for this project.

In 2017, as the first step in the District’s bond efforts, the Bernardo Wills Architects landscape architecture team was retained to assist Mead School District in preparing a 27-acre master plan for the redevelopment of existing natural grass sports fields, a transportation/refueling facility, and a maintenance and operations facility.

The City of Sandpoint, Idaho was recently designated by the U.S. Census as the 7th fastest-growing micropolitan area in the United States. As the City of Sandpoint has grown, so has its need to serve the population through parks and recreation services. Bernardo Wills Architects, Greenplay, and Welch Comer Engineers were selected to perform a 20-year Master Plan that provided an inclusive framework for planning, acquisition, development, and administration of the parks and recreation resources, programs, and City of Sandpoint facilities.

#WorksiteWednesday Ridgeline High School in Liberty Lake

#WorksiteWednesday At Ridgeline High School in Liberty Lake, the track is complete and the tennis court surface is in. We are looking forward to the completion of this project next month. This project includes four fields for baseball and softball, as well as tennis courts, football fields, and soccer fields. Ridgeline High School will be a premier sports venue for high schools in the inland northwest region. Bernardo Wills Architects provided landscape architecture services for this project and it is one of three athletic complexes Bernardo Wills designed in 2020.
