Enhancing the University of Idaho: Campus Drive and Idaho Avenue Transformations

At Bernardo Wills, we are proud to play a role in shaping the future of the University of Idaho campus through two vital improvement projects. Our commitment to creating innovative, safe, and accessible spaces has guided us in enhancing the university’s infrastructure, ensuring it remains a welcoming and functional environment for students, faculty, and visitors.

Campus Drive Phase II: Stormwater & Utility Improvements

In the heart of the University of Idaho campus, Campus Drive Phase II stands as a testament to modern infrastructure improvement. This project includes:

  • Stormwater & Utility Improvements: By addressing critical stormwater management and updating utility systems, we ensure long-term sustainability and reduce the risk of flooding and infrastructure failure.

  • New Roadway and ADA Sidewalks: Our design features new roadways and ADA-compliant sidewalks, enhancing accessibility and ensuring all students and visitors can navigate the campus with ease.

  • Pedestrian Improvements and Enhancements: We’ve prioritized pedestrian safety and convenience, improving crosswalks and pathways to make the campus more walkable and connected.

  • Site Lighting and Safety: Improved lighting across campus ensures a safer environment, providing students and faculty with peace of mind during evening hours.

  • Enhanced Landscape Plantings and Irrigation: Lush, sustainable landscaping with advanced irrigation systems not only beautifies the campus but also aligns with environmental goals.

Idaho Avenue to Kibbie: Access Improvements

Extending the commitment to better campus access, the Idaho Avenue to Kibbie project brings additional upgrades:

  • Stormwater & Utility Improvements: Similar to the Campus Drive project, we’ve focused on stormwater management and utility upgrades to protect campus infrastructure.

  • New Roadway and ADA Sidewalks: Ensuring campus connectivity and accessibility through new roadways and sidewalks, all ADA-compliant, for a more inclusive campus.

  • Pedestrian Improvements and Enhancements: Enhancing the pedestrian experience with better pathways and crosswalks, making the campus safer and more navigable.

  • Site Lighting and Safety: Adding more lighting across the campus to improve safety and visibility, particularly during night hours.

  • Enhanced Landscape Plantings and Irrigation: The landscaping around the Idaho Avenue to Kibbie area has been revitalized with new plantings and an efficient irrigation system, promoting sustainability.

These projects are about more than just infrastructure—they’re about improving the experience of everyone who interacts with the University of Idaho campus. By integrating thoughtful design, modern technology, and sustainability, we’ve ensured that these improvements will benefit the campus community for years to come.

At Bernardo Wills, we understand that every project is an opportunity to enhance the spaces where people learn, grow, and thrive. Our work on the University of Idaho campus reflects our ongoing dedication to creating places that matter.
