We were so honored to take AIA Spokane on a tour of the Ice Age Floods Playground last week. For many of us, this was one of our first in-person events with fellow design professionals in Spokane. It was the perfect day for an outdoor event. Huge thanks to AIA Spokane for including this project in their Architecture Month programming!
One of our landscape architects got to visit the University of Idaho last week and see our 7th Street Improvement project. It is still awaiting final completion but looked great with the plum trees in bloom. The goal of this project was to create a pedestrian mall here on 7th Street, which is the beginning of campus tours, and match the branding and character of the rest of the campus. Go, Vandals!
The windows are going in at the West of Jefferson mixed-use building in Kendall Yards. This project is moving right along, thanks to Baker Construction & Development, Inc.
The countdown to the Ice Age Floods Playground has begun. Crews are working hard for the upcoming opening in only a few weeks. Here is a video sneak peek, we can’t wait for our families and fellow Spokanites to enjoy this site. What element looks the most fun to you? Share with your climbers, skaters, basketballers, and kids of all ages!
#WorksiteWednesday You may have noticed some site work at Division & Francis in Spokane. We are proud to announce another project with @WSECU and @YGConstruction – a new branch to better serve their members in North Spokane. They hope for an October 2021 opening. #GoTeam

Here’s a fly-through animation for your Friday! Check out the potential future Gorge Loop Trail, connecting the Place of Truths Plaza with Peaceful Valley along the Spokane River Gorge. We hope this project becomes a reality, but for now we’ll enjoy it virtually.
#ThrowbackThursday: Completed in 2015, Washington Federal’s two-story, 12,000 square foot building was designed for their first Eastern Washington division office. Amenities include a walk-up counter, a small call center, conference room space, offices, and drive-through access to banking services. The contemporary design complements the flagship location’s urban setting, and the ground-to-ceiling windows provide a pleasing work environment and a connection to passersby.

These photos show the fantastic views from the windows and balconies of the units. Baker Construction and Mandere Construction have done a fantastic job on this complex building so far.
