A little bit about Paz

Paz Ochoa has designed visually appealing and highly practical outdoor spaces for K-12 schools, higher education institutions, county and school sports complexes, hospitals, assisted-living centers, Alzheimer’s care facilities, housing developments, museums, resorts, community and city parks, and botanical gardens.  Her expertise also includes city and university campus master planning and developing street enhancement guidelines.  Skilled in the full scope of planning and design services, Paz is particularly adept at conceptual design, planting design and hand-drawn graphics.  Approaching design from many angles, Paz lets the site and its history inform what is appropriate, determine which elements should be preserved, guide how best to balance the needs and culture of the surrounding community and individual users, and highlight the ecology and intricately intertwined living fabric of the site and its context.
